This is the title track to Vyc Vypyr's soon to be released EP.
Incorporating eighties style speed metal with some thrash elements, this song deals with differing perspectives of war including the perceived glory of victory, the horrifying reality of defeat, and the challenges of moving on from past mistakes.

Fire rising from the depths a new evil is born, power at your fingertips weapons for the war
Like fools they fight, with shield and scythe, we'll steal courage from their eyes
So here we are, we played the game, the rules changed, but the outcome stayed the same, and if we die, never in vain, we're laid to rest, inside a hero's grave
Water falling from the sky tears of the divine, what compelled them to create a creature so unkind
No one will fight our wars, we serve ourselves, look at the challenges our parents left, we have to mend the tear
